Back to home

bipo is a small place. It is your friends, your voice and the present moment. A place like this only works when everyone takes care of it. These guidelines apply to everything inside the app, including live conversations, voice messages, display names, profile photos and group names.

The agreement

  • Speak as you would if you were looking at the person. Voice carries tone, and tone can hurt or welcome.
  • Respect the other person's time. If their card says they are away, your voice becomes a message and waits.
  • What is said on bipo stays on bipo. Do not record or share someone's voice without their knowledge.

What is not accepted

  • Harassment and threats: Stalking, humiliating, intimidating, threatening or insisting on speaking to someone who asked you to stop.
  • Sexual content involving minors: In any form or context. There is no warning or second chance, and the account is reported to the authorities.
  • Hate: Attacking people based on race, color, ethnicity, religion, origin, disability, age, gender or sexual orientation.
  • Exposing others: Sharing an address, phone number, document or any personal data without that person's permission.
  • Violence and self harm: Encouraging, planning, celebrating or instructing violence, or encouraging someone to harm themselves.
  • Deception: Impersonating someone, committing fraud, asking for money under a false pretext or sending mass advertising.
  • Service abuse: Automating access, creating accounts in bulk, deliberately overloading the service or bypassing blocks.

Safety of children and teenagers

Child sexual exploitation and abuse do not have levels of response here. The account is terminated immediately, content is preserved when required by law and the case is reported to the competent authorities, including appropriate reporting centers. If you see anything like this, write to support@bipo.chat with the person's PIN and approximate time. If someone is in immediate danger in Brazil, call the police on 190 or Disque 100.

How we enforce the rules

Live conversations are not recorded and voice messages exist only until delivery or deletion, so we do not search through what people say. We act on reports. When one arrives, we review what is available, including account history, behavior patterns, previous reports and the full context.

The response is proportional and may include:

  • a warning when it appears to be a mistake rather than intent;
  • removing content or a name that breaks the rules;
  • suspending a feature, such as creating groups or adding friends;
  • temporarily suspending the account;
  • permanently terminating the account and blocking a new one.

In serious cases, we terminate the account immediately. In other situations, you are told what happened and may respond.

If you disagree

Mistakes can happen, including on our side. If a decision about your account seems unfair, write to support@bipo.chat and tell us your side. Another person reviews the case and we reply.

How to report

Removing a friendship ends contact immediately in both directions. To report abuse, write to support@bipo.chat with the person's PIN, what happened and when. Every report is read.
