Is it really free?
Yes. Downloading, talking, sending messages and creating groups are all free, with no subscription and no ads.
Do my friends need bipo too?
Yes. It works like a walkie-talkie, so both people need the app. The good news is that one friend is enough to get started, and adding someone takes about ten seconds.
Can someone hear me without me knowing?
No. Your microphone only opens while your finger is on the button, and it closes when you let go. Nobody can turn it on remotely, not a friend and not us.
Will sound start playing around my house?
Only when you want it to. You can turn on Do Not Disturb, and anyone trying to speak sees that before they start. If your iPhone is on silent, bipo sends a notification because apps cannot play sound in that mode.
Is it like a WhatsApp voice note?
No. A voice note is recorded, sent and heard later. On bipo, if your friend is around, your voice comes through live. If they are away, it becomes a message that plays when they open the notification.
Where does the audio go afterward?
It never becomes chat history. A voice message exists only for as long as needed to reach your friend and is then deleted.
